The “Grupo de Asesoría en Ingeniería y Ambiente (GAIA)” (Consultancy Group in Engineering and Environment), was created in 2000. Its mission is to be the Central American leading company in analysis, modeling, and control of the environmental impact caused by human activities.
GAIA’s vision is to determine the best control technology to mitigate the environmental pollution caused by the emission of pollutant gasses, the pouring of wastewaters, and the generation of solid waste in order to satisfy the environmental sustainability criteria attached to the economic profitability in the human activities.
The group focuses in the identification of the environmental pollution: air, subsoil, rivers, oceans, etc. It operates specialized tools to value the environmental impact:
1. - Analysis Lab specialized in environmental analyses.
2. – Experts in environmental pollution dispersion models, who use specialized software to complement the analysis results with dispersion modeling to determine the environmental impact.
3. – Design engineers to identify the best cost – effective mitigation systems.
